Witty, Fast-paced Fun!
Mary Janice Davidson delivers all her traditional full length punch in these short stories. As always, she keeps her plot lines moving, her readers engaged and laughing out loud, and her characters developed and developing inside the stories.
This is a great quick read if you need a light hearted escape with a supernatural kick to it. Whether it be vampires, werewolves or merfolk, the fantasy is believeable enough for your real world brain to check out for an hour or so and unwind.
Absolutely, do check this book out!
A Good Read
Typical Mary Janice Davidson fun awaits you while you get latest scoop on all her favorite charters. Nice short stories that you can take with you on the run. Enjoy.

Fun Fluff
Dead
Over
Heels
by Mary Janice Davidson is utterly adorable. This anthology of three novella's is much better than some of Miss Davidson's previous work. I love the way she put paranormals about three different species in this book. It was laugh out loud funny.
The first novella is called "Undead and Wed: A Honeymoon Story". Of course it is about our lovely Queen Betsy and King Sinclair. I found this to be the best Betsy story yet. Not as much whining and more storyline, the usual laugh out loud dialogue and shoe fetish, overly sexual without the tension of previous stories make this just a fun, fluffy read.
The second novella is called "Survivors" and deals with the new found merfolk. This wasn't as action packed but was quite cute. I love the simple sarcastic dialogue between the human and mermaid, the one track mind of the male species when it comes to naked women and the females perception of how dumb and self centered some men can be. Knowing this is all in fun makes it a quite enjoyable story that you can whip through in an hour.
The third novella is called "Speed Dating, Werewolf Style" and of course deals with our were friends. Cain is a she were coming up on her thirtieth birthday and looking around at all her pack mates realizing that she is the only one not mated yet. So off we go on a wild ride of blind dates, interviewing possible mates and wanting to kill her best friend so to speak over his inaccurate slip of the tongue description of her. I love this one. Cain does not hold back on her opinions or use of vulgar language which I find makes her character more appealing. It's a light, fluffy, giggly read that you can zip through in no time.
I hope to see the author come out with more stories like these in the future. I love the Betsy books but the more recent ones have had just a wee bit more whining that previous ones and it does tend to get on the nerves after awhile. The mermaid and were stories are good and it's nice to jump to stories like these that are so light, fluffy, air headed and quick for a change of pace.

Excellent!
In MaryJanice Davidson's
DEAD
OVER
HEELS there
is much fun to be had!
Her first story follows Queen Betsy and Sinclair to New York for their honeymoon. Ah, New York, lights, love, sex, shoes, (!?)Nick & Jessica(?!). Betsy is her usual delightfully ditsy self as there is a new evil to take care of. Nick is trying to convince Jessica how evil Betsy & Sinclair are and Jessica is trying to convince Nick how evil they are not. Sinclair just wants to be alone with his new bride. Will they ever be alone? Will Nick convince Jess how evil the vamps are? Will Betsy ever buy new shoes? DUH!this is Betsy. Even if you have never read the adventures of Queen Betsy and her friends it is still a fun story. If you have read about them, you must find out about the honeymoon!
In SURVIVORS Con is a survivor expert who actually has no idea how to save himself after he gets separated from his crew in the middle of the ocean. Reanesta the mermaid decides to take care of Con even if he is an annoying biped. I haven't managed to catch the 2nd Fred book so I don't know if Reanesta was in it or not, but this is from the world of Fred the mermaid. There is a lot of love in this one!
In SPEED DATING WEREWOLF STYLE, Cain is mad at her friends because even though they all promised there was no way they were getting married before they were 30 almost everyone else has! Cain has decided it is time for her to find her mate before she is 30 also. No problem, she has !22 days! When did that happen? This is a Wyndham story so it is a uproarious adventure. Cain is one tough lady who scares most people. So who is brave enough to date her? She goes to her friend Saul who sets her up on many dates that hopefully her dates will survive.
These were hilarious stories from an author that I have learned will keep me laughing and wanting more. I think you will have as much fun as I did.
