Sunny rocks

This book totally rock. When I read it I actually felt drawn to Sunny and her denial of her life. I think that Dawn ahould have stuck by Sunny and be her friend instead of trying to be her boss. Dawn thinks that Sunny should deal with her mother but she doesn't understand the pain Sunny's in so she judges her just like everone else(except Ducky). I think that when Dawn realizes all the people that love her, she'll retaliate.

SUNNY #6 VS. DAWN #7

Picking between the 2, I choose Sunny #6, and here's why--This is where the big fight with Sunny and Dawn begins. Sunny made a bad decision about leaving the house to see a guy-friend outside while food was cooking on the stove. After it almost starts a fire, Dawn's entire family is mad at Sunny, most of all, Dawn. Then, later on, Sunny apologizes to everyone, and everyone, except Dawn, forgives her. Dawn made a big deal out of nothing and with all the problems Sunny is having, Dawn throws "losing a good friend" on top of it. This book rox and you should read it, too to find out the rest.

P.S. Buy Dawn #7, too just to find out what happens with the fight because it lasts through 6 books in the series.

What?!

I cant believe so many people are writing about Dawn being a bad friend. Sunny is running away from her problems. That creates more problems. I like Sunny's character, but she could be so stubborn!!

Both sides of the picture...

I think some people need to cool off. I happen to be a good fan of BOTH Sunny and Dawn, although Sunny is my favorite. I understand and appreciate everyone's loyalty to either character, but PLEASE cool your jets!

This book is terrific. I could actually feel the way that Sunny must have felt. I couldn't put the book down. I think it is a must have. If you are a teen loking for a Real story that will pull you in, this book is for you.

In the book Sunny is trying to deal with the ball of emotiopns she feels inside because of her mother's illness. She feels like no one understands her. Things get worse when Dawn turns on her. Dawn doesn't understand the pain Sunny is going through, and mistakes this hurt for selfishness. Dawn feels like Sunny wants everyone to break their backs to make Sunny feel better. She [Dawn] is not willing to do that. As a result, they break up there friendship.

I think this story is easy for teens to relate to because we all have disagreements, and there isn't always a happy ending.

SUNNY ROCKS!

I like Sunny. Whereas I can see why some folks might see her as being self centered, I don't. She's trying to cope with her mother's impending death and by filling her mind and time with other things she can table the inevitable. I like Sunny, but I just can't abide that ghastly Dawn. I think Dawn is a pushy bully who tries to boss everyone around. I hated the way she tried to take over Sunny's mother. The little wretch had never had to experience losing a parent to death, so she was in no position to try to keep Sunny away from her pregnant step-mother, Carol. Sunny needed a stable adult female and was lucky to have found that in Carol. Dawn made a big issue over that stupid stew pot Sunny accidentally burned. All right, Sunny should have been watching it instead of flirting with a guy. Even so, I think stupid Dawn and that housekeeper made a volcano out of a molehill. Carol could walk and if need be, could certainly have turned of the stove. Good grief. I think Dawn was a jealous witch and tried to cause friction between people. I think she was the catalyst in the Sunny-Dawn rift. Dawn really is for the birds. Buzzards, that is. As for Sunny, she rocks! She keeps it together by making bad decisions and learning from them. She's not a shallow airhead like Dawn. She's lucky she has a real friend in Ducky who sticks by her and understands that when she lashes out at him, she is really lashing out at her mother's illness. Sunny is here to stay.
