A bit of a disappointment

I usually love books by Jennifer Weiner, but this was something different altogether! It's kind of a suburban-housewife / stepford wives murder mystery. Kate Klein is the main character, and she's feeling mopey and stuck in her role of housewife and mother in the boring and hard to keep up with town they recently moved to from NYC. After one of the local housewives is found stabbed to death, Kate takes it upon herself to solve the local mystery by rehashing her previous life.

It's a little hard to follow and keep all the names straight. Kate is constantly going from one person to the next and cross-examining them. The story leaves a lot unexplained and tries to wrap up really quickly. I'd much rather read Jennifer's regular chick-lit!

Funny--worth reading!

Ok, maybe it's not the greatest mystery ever written, but "Goodnight Nobody" is hilarious, and gets so many things right -- especially the hierarchy (exactly like highschool) among mothers of toddlers -- it's well worth reading if you're a mom who needs a laugh.

Very enjoyable!

This is a perfect romping beach read. I literally read it on the beach and it kept me engaged and entertained. Very fun.
