Warm, wonderful & inspiring

Thank you Cheryl McClary! A great read, a great book that brings me back to what really matters and how to make Real Love work in my life. With a lot of courage and a great sense of humor, Dr. McClary has posted a red flag on most of my decisions these days. I keep revisiting her words and all those touching moments when she turned right and I turned left. I'm taking her direction to heart and highly recommend this book for anyone who has lost touch with how to make love really stay.

A College Hockey player likes it too-

As a young guy in college I shake my head sometimes at all the bad relationships I see (if your one of those girls I see outside my dorm room at 3:00am crying on the phone with your boyfriend- buy this book!!). I gotta say after a sorority girlfriend of mine made me read the first few chapters after hearing me gripe about how come a nice guy like me couldn't find a girlfriend but every jerk from here to Kalamazoo seemed to have a girl clinging to him, my outlook on college dating really picked up. Turns out that all the bad reasons I saw girls going out with morons was because of what Dr. McClary calls "Surreal Love", and so she teaches girls how to find "Real Love" through learning to love themselves. So nice guys don't count ourselves out yet cause our Real Love is the best, and Dr. McClary is helping girls to figure that out.

Great Read

This is a must for any female regardless of age. (and the men should read it too!!!)

When common sense eludes you...

Cheryl really doesn't make any earth-shattering revelations in this book - it's all common sense on many levels. However, it's extraordinary when so many women (myself included) cannot see the forest for the trees when it comes to our own emotional well-being! We are bright, intelligent, capable women who are neglecting the most important person in our lives - ourselves! Does this make us selfish? NO. And *that* is what Cheryl is conveying here - loving yourself is not only appropriate, it is urgently important and essential to happy living!

Whether you are married, dating or even contemplating dating, women of ALL ages can benefit from the wisdom imparted by Cheryl.
