Cold Eyes
When you think of this day and age you can't dismiss the importance of computers. For goodness sakes you can buy a car online before you have even seen it and have it drive to your house. When Mrs. Wilcox wrote this stroy using her experience in High Tech computers she was very smart to do so. She wrote about what was natural to her; Offices, computers, emails and married that with some Love and Murder. Her book makes you feel a little more refined and smarter after you read it honestly. You are reading about Docotors and Silicon Valley. Peopele are smart and wealthy and it is exctiting to read about. O, and Romina when you read this I love "The Hunk"
The story was very very well written and I am so glad I had the chance to read it!!!

A quality story
All I can say is that I enjoyed reading
Cold
Eyes from
the beginning to the end. It kept me up all night. Though I think I was able to guess who the bad guy was, there was something about it that kept me wanting to read. Perhaps, it was the "why" he did it that kept me turning the page. There were also lots of sub plots, such as the story about Jacobsen that I wanted answers. This is a powerful and quality story but you need to read it carefully or you will miss out. There are lots of hints planted along the way. This book is highly recommended and I can't wait for the next sequel.

This book will deliver
This novel fits neatly among my favorite authors as Michael Crichton, Dan Brown, and David Baldacci. I think even better. I supposed it's the men versus women writers. This story has more emotion and a beautiful lady I can own, Joanne Gravitz. She has to pinpoint the location of the hacker whom Agent Maloney and Hendrix believe was also the murderer of Russell, a world renowned Stanford researcher. Russell developed a medical breakthrough and his research was to be televised world wide. Except, he was found dead the day he was to reveal this breakthrough. His wife's computer was also compromised the same night he was murdered. His wife was horrified by his murder. She has been keeping a secret. And after 25 years, was it time for her to reveal it? Or, was it the reason why her husband was killed?
The FBI sought the help of a private security company, OmegaSoft, in tracing the hacker. Here, Joanne developed a software called
Cold
Eyes
. Unfortunately, the codes within this software have been hacked and everything points to Tilton (the CIO of the company she works for). Stephan (her colleague and also part of the team in developing Cold Eyes), and most importantly, Dr. Jacobsen (the doctor who saved her life and she was falling in love with). She has been receiving warnings to stop helping the FBI, or she would pay the price.
Cold Eyes has a very interesting plot and setting. It took place in Silicon Valley and the intertwined of high-tech and medicine compelled me to this story. The characters are as equally complex as the plot yet I found it a very enjoyable read. I really like how the author describes the events and places. She has the ability to take you there. If you want a little escape, this book will deliver.

COLD EYES BY ROWINA WILCOX
He loves me, He loves me not...
A medical breakthrough had been discovered; a prominent Stanford researcher was found dead; his wife kidnapped; A plane sabotaged. In the middle of it all, a beautiful talented young woman, Joanne Gravitz, was entrusted into it. She developed a software called
Cold
Eyes
. It watches, it sniffs, it pinpoint and map the location of the perpetrator. It worked perfectly until the source code within her creation has been hacked, sending her cryptic messages. I was about to fall in-love with a handsome surgeon, when suddenly, he became the target of the investigation. Loved by his colleagues and Stanford, he was also the reason why Joanne Gravitz continues to live a normal life after her near fatal accident. Love had been developed between the two. He loves her, he loves her not.... The answer hidden beneath a pair of steel COLD EYES.
Romina Wilcox kept me at the edge of my seat. She wrote a complex, fast paced, engaging, gripping puzzle! Cold Eyes is a remarkably enjoyable thriller that kept me wanting for more! I hope she is busy with her next.

A truly enjoyable book
Cold
Eyes
is a very entertaining book as well as unforgettable. Anyone who loves mystery, suspense, romance, techno-thriller will enjoy this book. I highly recommend this work.
The plot unfolds with the investigation of a murder mystery, then a tangle of web that keeps you guessing whodunit follows and wanting to turn the page. The intensity of suspense heightened as the author takes you deeper into the intriguing world of cyber-thriller.
Romina Wilcox exercises an elaborate prose in this ingenuous plot. Through the depth of her characters, the reader could experience the daily grind of the corporate world as well as the glamour of life by interjecting good wines, cars and state-of-the-art technology. This is a character-driven story where both the villain and protagonist have their strength and weaknesses that readers can relate.
Joann Gravitz is a very memorable character. Beautiful and savvy, she tackles the bad guy through her knowledge of computer security. This is what I like about this story; the absence of deadly weapons, (guns), blood, violent crimes, sex scenes, yet the author was able to keep the thrill like a roller coaster ride till the end.
Cold Eyes is one of the most refreshing novel in today's market--elegant, classic and I hope to see it on the big screen someday. Congratulations Romina Wilcox for this excellent debut novel, through the quality of her work, she demonstrates a talent of pro in this cyber-thriller genre.
