A Noteworthy and Compelling Read

I am a cancer survivor, so the title of the book grabbed me immediately. Needless to say, one does not need more than one life-threatening experience to get unraveled and feel hopeless. However, in this book, the author was faced with not one, but several life-threatening prognoses, some which turned out not to be true, yet he managed, by decision, to stay focused on other than himself. This book is an important read and the decision it imparts could, and has, made it possible to have a positive turn of events. I would highly recommend adding it to your "HOPE" chest... Kudos to you, Arlen Specter!

inspiring!

This book was superb! I believe the title tells it all. Senator Specter was faced with not one but three different life threatening diseases. It was inspiring to learn that not only did he overcome each disease but stayed strong, motivated and fended our country through it all. Arlen Specter is a true All Star American! Anyone who has a loved one experiencing a recent diagnosis, should definitely have them read his story.
