An excellant, enjoyable, well written, entertaining story

While waiting for Jean Auels' books (boy do I hate to wait) went looking for simular stories, This book is on Native Americans. Who knows how much is true (beliefs, customs, and such), this book and the other People Of are very good, I get wrapped right up in them!

A fantastic read

I got this book from a friend of mine for my birthday, and from then onwards, I haven't managed to not read it whenever I get the chance to. This must have be the best book that the Gears have written, in my opinion, as I thought that they had applied a lot of what they know into genuine people that we can relate to and understand.

A book you just can't put down! The magic entwines you!

I loved this book! I borrowed it from a friend. Although not as exciting as the other books at first, it rapidly became one of the best books I've ever read (the others being People of the Wolf and People of the Fire). People of the Earth is an exciting, romantic, adventurous book, and makes you appreciate the lifestyle of early Americans. The story line is enchanting. You can picture the peoples' world in your mind. The book leaves the sights, sounds, and feeling of The People imprinted in your mind.

Impressive and informative

An adventure to read. a sweeping story of prehistory written about people that one can care about. A novel of suspense. Archology made interesting.

People of the Silence

The most exciting,breathtaking adventure story I've read in awhile. To learn and look at ancient cultures was a great adventure in it self. I'm glad the world has anthropologists like the Gears to show us prehistory as they do in their books.I go on a spiritual journey with each book
