Not as good as usual

I have read all of this series & have loved most of them..( it got a little weak near "H" as I recall). I am 95% done with "R" and I have spent most of this one thinking-why do I like this series again? I'll give it time and then back to "Maybe it's not as good as I remember." It reads like a 100 page text that has been stretched by unnecessarily long descriptions of trivial details. I am also frustrated by the apparent change in Kinsey's personality for this novel..She's a pushover/whimp with Reba. Reba makes Kinsey look like a lackey. I am grateful that Kinsey finally went shopping and got a haircut. She is not a man-only a man (and only some of them) would show so little interest in their appearance..It almost seems that Ms Grafton is under the misconception that to be considered a "strong female" you have to act like the male persuasion. So not true. It has always bothered me that Kinsey cuts her own hair & knows it looks like crap & won't fork out the money (she has money)- so she's cheap & haphazard looking. They had Cost Cutters in the 80's for Heaven's sake. I'll still finish the series-just hope the next one has more story.

I have read all of her books and just love every one of them. If you like to follow a specific character, you would enjoy this series. I highly recommend it.

Disappointed in charges

I enjoyed the book but was disappointed in the way my order was handled. I was quoted a certain price for the books that I ordered from you but when they came in, each one had a shipping and handling charge on it, making the total be almost twice what I was told. Therefore from now own I will have to buy elsewhere. Dot Brown
