I say a Prayer for Me

I started reading this book and I wondered if the author knew me personally. This is a book that told my life story and I felt so connected to the author because I knew that I was not alone in this world, that there was another person who had gone through the same things in life as I had. Ms. Anderson is a fantastic author, sharing all the struggles that she went through when she was in active use of alcohol and drugs. Being a recovering alcoholic and addict myself, it was awesome reading about another afro-american female who has suffered in that vicious world of addiction. I want to thank Ms. Anderson for sharing all the pain she has felt in the past and the joy that she has today. I also want to thank my Higher Power for giving her the ability, courage and the strength to share her life with me. I Say a Prayer for Me is a book that gives hope and encouragement to someone that is struggling with trying to change his or her life. I Say a Prayer for Me is a book that gives you hope and faith and let's you know that by having faith and trust in your Higher Power (for me is my God, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ) all things are possible through prayer and faith. This book should be read by all, not those of us who have struggled with addictions, but anyone who struggles with everyday pressures for living life today in this troubled world. Ms. Anderson, keep writing and thank God for you.

I Say A Prayer For Me

I read the book and love it!! It is a ten star must read. This book is so inspiring and spirit filled that you have to thank God for bringing it to you and Stanice for writing it. If you haven't read it yet, my advice go out and purchase it ASAP!!!!! This book has brough me closer to the All Mighty Maker and I love it!! There are so many chapters that you can relate to even if your experience isn't exactly the same. Again one of my favorite books and I only have two!!!!!!!!!!!

I Say a Prayer for Me by Stanice Anderson

This is one of the best books I've ever read because it is one of the most insightful readings of God's love for us that anyone could ever read. In writing to a friend, I actually quoted from this book. The format makes for extremely easy reading in that the chapters are short and they are all followed by brief captions or "gems of wisdom" the author wants to impart about that chapter. Then the caption is followed by a moving and heartfelt prayer relating to the subject matter of the chapter, ending in an appropriate scripture. I plan to use this book for reference material for any situation in my life. And since I will not be parting from my copy of the book, I have ordered five other copies to date for close friends and relatives whom I feel will greatly benefit from it. As I overheard one person say about this book, "It is a life-changing book". And it is! Thank you Stanice Anderson.

Joy and liberation is what I felt as I read this wonderful book. It's so rich, so powerful. I wish everyone who has ever dealt with family or friends on drugs would read this book. Get a revelation! Awesome. Stanice is so transparent in the book, you can sense the blood, sweat and tears poured into this wonderful work. Be ready to be real when you read this.
