Engaging, Sexy & Provocative Fiction

Eric Jerome Dickey is a new author on my must read list. The plot is fast-paced and the characters are engagingly real. The story revolves around Dante, a man down on his luck yet unwilling to turn his back on a friend. He's sexy, charming, and so real you find yourself wanting to meet him.

"Naughty or Nice" is the next Dickey novel on my list. I'm tuned for action and another fine read!

Can It get any better?!

Mr. Dickey can I just ask, can it get any better? This book was breath taking. During my daughter's stay in the hospital for seven days I was brought this book by a friend and can I just say two days after receiving it, I was on a high! I have every reader I know reading this book. Dante was of course a weak point for me, I loved his character. I didn't care to much for Pam but EDJ story writing was exceptional. Even if you are not a fan of EDJ you will become one behind reading this book!

Desperate Souls

This story is about Dante Black, a young 24 year old who is unemployed and needs money to pay his mounting bills. Its seems Dante does not want to fall back into his past crooked deeds. He meets Pam a "fine lady" who he wants to impress, but she too is looking for a way to make an extra buck. Along comes Scamz a flashy experienced con artist with expensive tastes from Dante's past. Together with Dante's long time friend Jackson, they enter into a deal with the devil.
I like the characters in this book but I felt that each had the potential to be more developed and more interesting. Mr Dickey did a good job writing about one of the subjects he touch on in this book, and that was the child support issue. It is a shame some women use this issue just to get back at the men for leaving them, and it is mostly the good men who are willing to support their children that are put through this shameful ordeal. Jackson is a good man who would not shy away from his responsibilities, but still sabrina his ex drags him into court. Robin, Jackson's current fiance is also feeling the pressure. She want to stick by her man through thick and thin but it is tough to deal with the baby momma drama, and not having enough money to pay the bills. All said, this story is about what people will do when they are in desperate times and their backs are against the wall.
