A real story

This is a great book! It's a really good story about a girl being abused. It may seem like a sad or depressing book, but it's not. Not at all! It show's how she understandes her mom and goes on with her life.

"Don't Hurt Laurie!" is an excellent book. I'm half way through it and boy, I can't wait to finish it! I recomend this book to people who like sad, yet exciting stories and for people between the ages of 9-15. This book will capture your heart. I don't want to give a summary because I'm afraid I'll give exciting parts away. Please read this book!

I read it in 3rd grade and I still remember it, I'm 20!!

The book was so powerful that I can still remember it 12 yrs later. It described in such detail the pain that this poor child felt and yet it did it in a way that was very easy to understand. This book is by far one of the best books that a child could ever read on child abuse and gain a complete knowledge and understanding of such a horrible thing. EXCELLENT!!!!!

GREAT BOOK

I read this when I was in 4th grade and I still remember it as well. This an excellent book that deals with abuse and how a child deals with it

Good book

I thought this book was a good, quick read. It's great for younger readers because it's easy to read. In some parts it's painfully wrenching. It helps you to realize that you shouldn't just pity victims of child abuse, they are real people. I thought that the ending was a little too "happy". Almost too good to happen except in a book. I will never forget this book, I reccommend it to all readers.
