Soooo life changing!!!!

This is one of the best books I have ever read! God bless Steve McVey!!

Dont Give Up till you Read This!

I'm so inconsistant!
I'm so tired of trying!
Why does this seems so hard?
Where is this peace and joy I hear about?
I seem to take two steps forward and four steps backward!
Does God really like me?
If I am saved by grace why am I striving so hard?
It seems something isn't right.
Either the Bible's wrong or what I'm being taught is.

If the above statements resemble your Christian walk, you're ready for a transformation, and "Grace Walk" is just what the Good Doctor ordered. Read, then let it sit and soak into your soul. Dr. Steve McVey has brought much needed alignment to todays church. Every Christian should read this to maintain balance in a culture, both inside and outside the church, which worships effort, duty, and production. It isn't meant to be like this. Relationship with Jesus is how Jesus defined eternal life (John 17:3) and relationship is why Christ provided atonement, clearing the way. Do yourself a big favor and read this book, you'll be glad you did.

Life Changing!

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. This book has changed my life and how I view the Christian life.

This book has helped me to be set free from the bondage of legalism and the incredibly frustrating and exhausting cycle of trying and failing. For a long time, I felt that God was always disappointed in me and that no matter how much I did, it was never enough. This book has also helped me realize that I was trying to live the Christian life through self-effort. This book also helped me to realize that I should be doing Christian things like reading the Bible, going to church etc, because I want to. Not because I feel like I have to. This book has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and my heart.

If you feel trapped in the cycle of trying and failing, like I was, read this book. Steve is very vulnerable about his own struggles in this area. This book is a breath of fresh air and will change your life. This book will also help you to understand that you are not alone in your struggles. Others have been through the same thing. It will also remind you that God cares and understands.

An Encouragement to Live By Grace Instead of Rules.

McVey has written an excellent book challenging the Christian to live in the power of God's grace instead of fleshly self-sufficiency.

Among the excellent points covered include:

1. God's view of success differs from the world's view.
2. Definition of the flesh. Before God will work in and through us, we must stop relying on fleshly self-confidence.
3. The futility of trying to live the Christian life in fleshy self-effort.
4. Our relationship with Jesus Christ is based on grace, not rules and regulations. Church activity without Jesus is powerless.
5. The exchanged life vs. the flesh life and promises God gives us for victorious living.
6. Reasons to live based on a relationship with Jesus instead of Christian values.
7. Evangelism based on grace is the overflow of a joyous relationship with Jesus Christ.
8. Grace is characterized by calm confidence in God's sovereignty, timing, and methods.

While God's grace is the dominant theme in this book, the author does not excuse liberty at the expense of being a positive witness.

Read and be encouraged to let God be your life instead of you trying to live the Christian life. There is a difference!

The book that started my transformation....

...into the Christian that I am today!

Gracewalk was an incredible read the first time through. I read it at a time when I was ready to give up on being a good Christian.

I had resigned myself to thinking that I would never be able to be all that God wanted me to be. But through God's amazing positioning of my life events, I found the message that He wanted me to see in Grace Walk.

Since then, I've read the book at least two more times, and it remains one of my favorites. It was also instrumental in the writing of my first book, Christ Through Me (see my profile).

Steve McVey does a good job explaining how He came from the point of being totally beaten at trying to live the Christian life by His own power, and to the wonderful experience of letting Jesus live His life through Him!

You can tell that Mr. McVey has a firm grasp on this concept and presents many wonderful illustrations and Biblical references so as to remove this truth from the realm of personal opinion.
