Pick Me Up Stuff you need to know...

My kids love books filled with little factoids. And this book is loaded with them! It also references other pages if you want to dig deeper into some tangent related to the fact you just read about, so it keeps you interested. They seem to be constantly picking it up.

Entertaining Learning

I bought this book for my 12 year old nephew who is a braniac. I had the chance to look through it a few times before wrapping it and I found the connections and trail of thought to be very interesting and thought provoking. I think this book will appeal to youngsters of this generation, who will appreciate the links from history to pop culture and will be more likely to pick up a book like this. My nephew thought it was funny when I said I wished I had bought one for me!

Kids love it!

I bought this book for an 11 year old nephew and for my grade school library. My nephew reads all of the "record" and "almanac" type books and loved this one. The organization is completely different; the mix of information is eclectic and interesting. He loved it. The kids at school who read the same type of books also liked it a lot. The cover is intriguing! A really great book.

Coolest reference book ever!

I stayed up all night reading this thing before I could wrap it for x-mas. Fun to read because the facts are so cool, you can follow bolded page numbers in the text and skip all through the book or just read it front to back, and there's funny snarky comments. Also the design, illustrations and info-graphs are FAN-TAS-TIC! I can't imagine how much work went in to producting this book, can't say enough about it. You should buy it!
