A Christmas tale without all the Christmas Glitz.

This is a great book but not the best of his work, it is filled with action, laughter, and even a little intrigue. The book focuses on three sisters, and each chapter is filled with their first person account of their lives, and their encounters with the Internet, and life in general.

If you want action, and passion and intrigue, then you will love the Livvy chapters!!!, She is the dominate character, so there are many chapters filled with her day -to -day drama. One particular love scene is nearly 4 pages LONG... I was very impressed with Eric Jerome Dickey's passionate details of her Internet love affair.

If you want Humor, then you will be laughing until you cry with the Frankie chapters!!! Her internet encounters are so hilariously funny! There is one chapter where she meets a man she thinks is Mr. Right Now, until his former lover interrupts their date. In another chapter she meets a man that has sent her a false photo. Believe me you will certainly laugh your head off!!!

The Tommie chapters are more serine, and not nearly as exciting, but important to the story. I agree with one of the "reviewers" when he/she said that there should be a sequel to this book. I want to know how the relationship between Tommie and Blue works out. I want to know how things end for Livvy. And, I want to know what the heck's going on with Frankie!

If you want to read a Christmas tale, without all the Christmas this is the one for you, but if you think this book has a lot of hot steamy sex that everyone else is talking about, well it leaves a lot to be desired. This book is just a good fast read. Happy reading.

Good reading

I was glad I purchased Naughty or Nice like all of Eric Jerome Dickey's books it didn't disapoint. The characters came accross as real people which made for entertaining reading.

Easy Read, No EarthShattering Wisdom

This book was a nice and fast paced read. I finished it in an afternoon, in a single sitting. I was really rooting for the youngest sister Tommie, but did not really connect with the elder siblings Livvy and Frankie.

But at the end of it all, I don't think there is any great divining wisdom to be gained from the characters. In fact if I had to summarize, I would say it is a cautionary tale against internet "hook ups".

OK, but in no way EJD's best

Naughty or Nice is a good (not great but good) read but it is HARDLY Dickey's best work. I thought Livvy's storyline was very predictable for the most part. I wish he had focused more attention to the Tommie storyline, and as far as I'm concerned the Frankie storyline (if you can call it that) was pretty useless to the main story. I really wish the character of Frankie could have been developed more thoroughly. In my opinion the story could have been just as good without Frankie in it. As usual Dickey did a good job with the steamy sex scenes. I felt the book also took too long to reach its climax (which wasn't even that big, but then again maybe thats because I already predicted what would happen). All in all, it was a decent read but its nothing to marvel over. One thing I wish would have happened in the book was that Livvy and Carpe coulda had it out face to face in the end.
