A must for Internet entrepreneurs

Seth Godin's "Unleashing the Ideavirus" is perhaps the most important and relevant book for Internet entrepreneurs today. The book explains how entrepreneurs can create and manipulate viral marketing tactics. Given the ongoing failure of advertising and the low cost per acquisition associated with viral marketing, this revolutionary book is a must for entrepreneurs trying to determine how they can launch a successful marketing campaign in today's competitive landscape.

Seth Godin's other books, namely "Permission Marketing" and "The Big Red Fez" are must for Internet entrepreneurs today.

Used it, it works - need I say more?

Okay, I will say a "little" more. Seth's right on target with the best approach to promote your business. I'm tired of companies using in-your-face tactics to get my attention (i.e. SPAM and PopUp ads). I'm MUCH more inclined to listen to the suggestions offered by others (and so are you or you wouldn't be reading online reviews).
[...] it's working so far!

Godin is a genius

This book was released in 2000. Think how different things were then! This makes Godin a bit of prophet as the things he predicted about traditional advertising are coming true.

This is a great read - compelling, useful, and nicely paced. I recommend it for anyone who makes a living with great ideas.

Stimulates Novel and Interesting Thinking

Word-of-mouth is one of the most effective, and certainly powerful, marketing methods. Word-of-mouth opinions can make or break a product or a company, regardless of the use and extent of other "traditional" channels (e.g., advertising). Are there methods and practices that can be used to identify and harness word-of-mouth?

The concept of the "ideavirus" embodies both word-of-mouth marketing concepts, and product design and implementation ideas that can cause people to spread products like, well, viruses! This book is one of a series of Seth Godin's efforts that build upon one another, in general, and on Gladwell's "The Tipping Point", specifically.

Notwithstanding, you can read it by itself and take away a great deal that may be readily and directly applicable on a day-to-day basis. It certainly will stimulate novel and interesting thinking!
