Excellent coverage of plant propagation techniques

A excellent book for anyone including the professional who wants to review plant propagation techniques, and at the same time not to technical for the beginner who wants learn basic plant propagation. I bought it as an aid in teaching one of my sons basic plant propagation even though I am a professional horticulturist myself.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK FROM THIS PUBLISHER_BUY SAME BOOK FROM NHGC FOR 5 BUCKS!

This book is amazing but I strongly recommend that you buy Alan Toogood's "Plant Propagation" from a different publisher. The National Home and Gardening Club published this exact same book (with a different hardback cover) the same year the AHSociety published the above book. This book is currently selling on Amazon for just under $5 and is a much better buy.

Note: Amazon does not have a photo for Toogood's other book and most people probably overlook that and purchase the above text.

I loved my book

This book walked me thru step by step on the project I had wanted to do.It let me propagate my blackberry bush from just a small twig.It has different ways how to propagate and on different types of plants, and I will keep this book close to me at all times

Excellent manual for gardeners

This is a necessary book for those of us who need an all encompassing reference for plant propagation. There is no better source than the American Horticultural Society to give you a straight answer on the best methods for propagating each type of plants. Nicely illustrated and plainly written.

Plant Propagation

An excellent resource for propagating just about any plant using a variety of techniques depending on the time of year and the purpose. While it took me a while to figure out where to find the guide for plants not featured in full page explanations, once I did I was ready to take on new projects. A great book for growing new plants for the garden and for friends.
