Kary, has served the Christian Community well as he hits the "sweet spot" of Jesus' message. To follow Christ is a journey to the top of Everest! It is an adventure. There is great risk, but the reward is worth the climb! Anything worth living for is worth dieing for! Giving my whole life for the CAUSE of Christ is what my life is all about. I AM CALLED! You are too!

A wake up call...

This book is fantastic! Just in the first few words, it completely captivated my attention. Kary Oberbrunner really capitvates the attention of our youth and young adults today, by using a pop culture reference. We are the generation that really needs to hear this message the most. So many people claim to be Christians, but this book will help you truly become "Christ-like" and humble yourself to truly become a discple of Christ.

Kary Oberbrunner does a magnificent job of bringing the important things that God demands of us into perspective for those who sometimes do not know exactly what those are. Sometimes it is easy to pass over those demands in the Bible, leaving many Christians not knowing exactly what it is they are being demanded to do. Oberbrunner's book, however, takes a fresh and realistic approach on getting a closer look into God's Word and figuring out who exactly God is calling us to be. After just the first 10 pages of this book, I find the writing style refreshing and ultimately realistic.

an exciting and challenging read

As soon as I read the first words of the introduction, I knew I wanted to keep reading Called. Oberbrunner states that his book will prove that "life is all about God." What a statement! So many of us, though we're reluctant to admit it, have adopted the world's mindset that life is all about me. This book challenges that notion and dares to suggest that Christ has called each of us to an amazing life of true discipleship--a life we often hesitate to even imagine.
