A memorable little book

This is a short fairytale with a funny, alternative ending. Great for kids who already know the "together happily ever after" formula, and would get a little kick out of the twist in this story's (still happy) ending.
A memorable little book, for me, with nice illustrations throughout.

Best book for a little girl

Forget how you think about princesses. This is a story about a true princess. I'd recommend it for any little girl or boy for that matter.

I love this book!

This book has a great message for girls of all ages, but especially for little girls. The message is that girls should stand up for themselves and they should be independent. Excellent! It's one of my favorites.

Empowerment for Females of any age

This is my all-time favorite gift book for young girls. It is a welcome twist on the old and tired "damsel in distress" storylines. Years ago, when I was a preschool teacher, I read this book to the 4 and 5-year old girls in my class. Unfortunately, even at that tender age, they already were more obsessed with the APPEARANCE of the main character than her bravery. Therefore, I suggest that it be read to boys and girls at an even earlier age so they come to know that what is inside heroine, Elizabeth is far more important than what she wears. I commend the author for providing us with a well-written book that imparts a valuable message to young children.
