A Little Book On Big Themes

I can't heap enough praises on this little book on big themes of the most touching universal kind and a French literary masterpiece of all time. Le petit prince written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and first published in 1943, is a bittersweet fable of a young prince who leaves his tiny planet to explore the universe and yet in fact tells of the dark side of life, love and loneliness, pain and suffering, death and parting, think Camus, Sartre and existentialism. That's why there is always the impulse to sob everytime the book is read. It's not just a children's book but a must-read and must-own for all on serious philosophical subjects and life's lessons through the eyes of the innocents with most delightful drawings. Join the wisdom and charm of the little prince's rose-and-star-filled world. You simply can't resist this beautiful 60th Anniversary collector's edition of The Little Prince, the timeless thought-provoking French literary masterpiece in the latest translation presented in gold stamping and embossing enhanced hardcover and slipcase with a satin bookmark! Go get a copy everyone!

A Princely Story

The French chose Le Petit Prince as the best French book of the Twentieth Century, and they were so right. This is a moving and profound story, that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It teaches wonderful lessons about life, death, love, friendship, and what not. A true 'chef d'aeuvre' of a universal value, to be read and re-read throughout life.

Not as good as it should be

It took my husband and me quite effort to take the book out from its cover. It would have been better without the cover. I would have bought the one without the gift cover - nice and cheaper.
