An awesome story of friendship and life

Please read this! It was a fantastic story of the ups and downs of life and friendships. The authors write beautifully.

The one book everyone should have!!!!!!

This book is my favorite! The characters are so real and the plot is so captivating. I like to comfort and help people with problems and when I do I always recommend that they read this book before they make any final decisions about anything. I have not read the book in some years, but I just feel that I need to read it again now that I am married. I am constantly referring some things about my life to life of the character in the book! So, if you are seeking a great book to read, please read this book. I promise, you will love it!

Awesome Book about Friendship

This was a really great book to read. These two ladies did a wonderful job telling this story. It has been a while since I have had some free time to read a good book. I use to be a bookworm. I am really glad that the first book that I picked up to read was this one. The characters in this book seemed so real. If you have ever had a "real" friendship with someone than you know that sometimes a true friendship may go through some good times and some bad times but true friendship stands the test of time. The characters in this book went through a lot in their lives. I got sucked up into the world. Cheering for them as well as being diappointed when things went wrong. I think that if people really took the time to get to know one another and develop real friendships the world would be a better place for sure. Mrs Grant and Mrs Deberry- great job-excellent book!!

Best book by a black author ever

Although it's been some time since I read this book, I haven't been able to forget the powerful impact it had on me. All I will say is, you never know how someone will turn out so you are better off not prejudging people. Negative situations can yield positive results; and having all the advantages in life is no guarantee that a person will benefit or even appreciate what they've been given.

The Power of Friendship

When I first started to read this book. I thought it would be intresting but on the boring side. Once I got further into the book it was impossible to put down! At my school we have SSR [silent substained reading] wich is only 15-20 minutes depending on the teacher[im in the 10th grade *hehe*] When it was time for it to be over i begged my teacher and got others to agree to extend it. We ended up reading for an hour!

What i like most about this book is the message i got from it. Gayle: Don't live just on dreams because they leave you nowhere.
Patricia: Work for what you want and don't dwell on those who doubt you, because the one's who doubt will enventually end up beneathe you in any form.
