Good for Mary Anne!

In Friends Forever #3, Mary Anne FINALLY breaks up with Logan her steady boyfriend.

I really think Ann M. Martin is doing a wonderful job with this new series. The events (especially this one) are realistic, and that means that teens can relate to the chariters more. Mary Anne did the right thing by breaking up with Logan. I thought that throughout the old series he was becoming sexiest and (allthough he ment well) a little controling. His father striked me the same way.

Mary Anne, although shy, is her own person and a very strong young woman. Good for you Mary Anne! Can't wait for #4!

Logan needs to GET OUT!!!!!!!!!

I am soooooo glad that Mary Anne and Logan broke up! Best of all, it was Mary Anne that did the breaking up! Martin shows that just because you may be shy, doesn't mean you can't stand up for yourself either! Logan was becoming way too controling! (and just like one of the other reviewers said: HE IS SEXEST!) I like what Dawn said about Mary Anne coming out of her shell. It's true. She would have never done this in the BSC series! Also in this story, Mary Anne is finally getting back on track with the issue of the fire and all. Now construction workers are rebulding her house. It seems as if she's finally at peace with the whole situation! Great Job Ann! This series is the bomb! So much better then the BSC!

GO, MARY ANNE, GO!!!!! BRAVO!!!!

WAY TO GO, MARY ANNE!!!! Oh, boy is Mary Anne someone to be proud of!!! She is one tough, brave, smart young woman! Not only is she overcoming the awful aftereffects of that house fire & facing the fact that she doesn't feel quite at home in her new house yet with her usual grim detemination, but she is realizing that things are VERY wrong between her & Logan. I like how she doesn't euphemize or beat around the bush, soft-hearted as she is. It's high time Logan & Mary Anne broke up for good! Those two are NOT a good match at all. I think Logan sometimes acts like a real creep. He wants to hog up Mary Anne's time, yet critizes her for being too shy & sensitive. I also suspect that sometimes he manipulated her. Poor Mary Anne tried to break it off gently with him & offered to be friends, but Logan just wanted a Siamese-couple relationship or nothing at all. I mentally cheered Mary Anne on in breaking it off with Logan. I know it was so painful for her & it was great that her friends stood by her & let her cry & cry. It was great that Dawn gave her the encouragement she needed also. I thought it was kind of cruel of Logan to dismiss Mary Anne's feeling as "just the way YOU see things" & telling her that she's "out of balance over the fire." I got the feeling along with Mary Anne that he didn't want her to trust her own judgement! I'm so glad Mary Anne finally told him to leave. He is too posessive & that's the last thing Mary Anne needs in her life! I'm also glad that when Stacey tried to hook her up with Pete Black, Mary Anne told her friends that she wouldn't be ready to date anyone again for a long, long time. Good for Mary Anne! She needs to be "single" for a long time. Mary Anne is filled with so many fears, yet she deals with those fears with a steely determination that is so rare in human beings. I also loved how after she broke up with Logan, her friends came over to keep her company & she feels more hopeful than she has in a long time. It was also encouraging how I knew that Mary Anne is slowly re-building her life & looking forward to her new life & feeling happy again. I loved how Dawn told Mary Anne, "You're busting loose & becoming more YOU." That would be so great to read future books about Mary Anne becoming even MORE Mary Anne! I look forward to the VINTAGE MARY ANNE! Keep it up with her, Ann! BRAVO, MARY ANNE!!!!

Mary Anne comes out of her shell!

This was a great book! This book not only showed that Mary Anne didn't NEED to depend on Logan anymore, but it also brought up the fact that Mary Anne is growing up. Coming out of her shell. As Dawn said: "Your busting loose Mary Anne!" Logan was too controling and too sexest. Also how DARE he make fun of Mary Anne after she offered him countless times that she wanted to remain friends with him. Oh well, it's Logan's loss. He just missed out on a great friend, Mary Anne Spier.

I'm counting the days until #4! Great new series Ann M. Martin!

Friends Forever rocks!

I really like this series better than the Baby-sitters' Club. This is more realistic and true to heart.

I'm SO GLAD Mary Anne dumped Logan. They were not a match made in heaven I'll tell you that! I agree with the other reviewers: Logan got way to controling. It's a shame that he actually dissed Mary Anne later on in the book! I whould have smacked him! (Allthough Mary Anne is too polite for that) I'm ELATED Ann M. Martin made Mary Anne stick to her guns. She didn't give in to Logan and get back together with him No ment NO. I won't spoil the ending, but you have got to read this book!

One more thing: I'm happy Mary Anne is moving on away from the fire. She's a very strong person! FRIENDS FOREVER RULEZ! CAN'T WAIT FOR #4 PEOPLE!
