FOUND... one of the greatest books - MUST HAVE!

This book is absolutely great! I find it amusing and sometimes quite moving. I work for the fire dept and I find myself almost unable to put it down when we get calls! Haha. It's such a creative idea. I can't wait to order the second one.

Davy, you were great on Letterman!

Amazing!

This book will make you look at trash in a whole new way. It's a wildly addictive, creepy, cool, and fun read.

A suprise gem!

I bought this book without knowing anything about it, and fell in love with it. I loved the little glimpses into other people's lives, and some of the finds were so touching they were difficult to read. A great book to have on hand to pick up and spend a few minutes with (if you can resist the temptation to read it cover to cover like I did!)

This is the book I've been waiting for my whole life!

Ever since I can remember, I've been deliciously intrigued by glimpses into the daily lives of ordinary people. While strolling with my family in the evenings, I like happening upon people going about their daily business at home: preparing dinner, talking, watching TV. I enjoy looking at vintage scrapbooks and wondering about the folks who once lovingly created them. At the grocery store, I sometimes peek into other shoppers' carts to see what they've bought. Whenever I find a scrap of paper on the ground or inside a library book, I eagerly devour it.

Given this prediliction, the Found series is right up my alley. I can't believe I hadn't heard of the books, magazine or website until a week ago, but now that I have, I'm a fan for life. I read every single note in the book and was bummed when it ended. I can't figure out precisely why I enjoy these glimpses into strangers' lives so much, but I believe it's simply the realization of how, despite our masks, we are so much alike: the falling in love, the broken hearts, the lost pets, the need to buy -- as one Found note revealed -- batteries, roach spray and watermelon. It comforts me to know we're all in this together, part of this fascinating, challenging and touching tapestry of human existence. Davy Rothbart, thank you for this book and the sequel. Please don't ever stop finding things and sharing them with us.
