A wonderful reflection of the joys of life

I would highly recommend starting with the first book, The Cat Who Went to Paris, and when you finish the last, you'll understand what my review title means. I think this series would be valuable to more than just cat owners, but anyone who searches for the simple pleasures of life.

This book, as well as the previous titles, are filled with moments of hilarity, travel, and drama. You won't be disappointed in this record of a most amazing relationship between a cat and his human. You might even learn a little about yourself.

I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Enjoy!

Loving memoire

Peter poignantly tells of the final years his cat, Norton, spent with him. I laughed and expecially cried while reading this book. By own beloved cat of 16 years is also experiencing kidney failure. I truly feel the love that Peter has for his little pal. Cat lovers and cat haters alike will love this book.

Highly recommended

Norton is an unforgettable feline. I am a "cat lunatic", as I would think most people are who read the Norton books. But I think everyone can enjoy these books, because they are about relationships and life and love. I laughed and I cried, and I will never forget Norton and the special bond he formed with his owner.

The cat who went to heaven

If you read only one of the three books on Norton the Scottish Fold, this should be it. Not only are the writing style and design of the book better than the other two, it's the most emotional and thoughtful as well. The two previous books tell of Norton's adventures as a series of events, and in this third, Gethers continues that tradition. But he also adds something of a meditation on death and on caring for others. There are moments where it seems to get sentimental, but the feelings are so genuine that you can't help but be moved.

Heartwarming, Wonderful Memoir

I absolutely adored this book. I laughed and cried. What a wonderful tribute to such a great feline. What an endearing memoir. I only recently heard of Mr. Gethers' books. I read his two others about Norton and just finished "The Cat Who'll Live Forever" today. I have two beloved cats of my own. I am so saddened by Norton's passing and, even though he passed in 1999, I was unaware of him until just recently. Thank you, Mr. Gethers, for sharing your memories with all of us.
