it's really lovely. i read mr. harr's column every week in the marin ij and went to the bookstore to investigate his new book. i was pleasantly surprised when i grabbed it off the shelves at book passage. i sat with it for over an hour, totally engrossed in these health and fitness tips.
i asked the clerk for a pen and paper, thinking i could write down a few tips -- but the whole, entire book is damn good! so i had to buy it.
you should, too. it's packed with useful and motivating information.
I'm very skeptical of health/fitness books, products, etc. It seems like a circus to me. But I really did enjoy Harr's book. It's to-the-point, makes a lot of sense and it's easy to read. Tip a day. That's what my wife does ... and I think I'll follow her lead.
This is a book certainly worth picking up no matter what your fitness goals or background.
THE PORTABLE PERSONAL TRAINER is a delightful and informative book. It contains 100 succinct, intelligent and motivational strategies to improve one's physical and mental fitness.
The author speaks in a simple, conversational way like he's sitting right there with you.
I feel very grateful for having reached for this book at Borders -- it's a little gem.reviews: 1, 2, 3, page 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
