Phenomenal

Despite the tragic events that open the novel, this wonderfully-written book is moving, enlightening, and even happy in its way. The loving connections among the narrator's survivors are touching. I whole-heartedly recommend this book.

A unique story, but ultimately not that good

This book has a unique story, but I found myself forcing myself to finish it despite a lack of interest. It is an average story, but certainly doesn't crack my list of top 100 reads.

it was a tough love for me..

a roller coaster of emotions for me. i came to tears a few times. it was a beautiful sad journey as well as frightening (following Mr. H he couldn't die soon enough). i'm a bit of wimp when it comes to tragic stories about kids. i enjoyed it nonetheless. as much as she detached herself, i loved abigail, i think she represents alot of mothers out there who "wonder if?" whether one has lost a child or not. it's worth the read.
