You'll never see money the same way again!
This book was instrumental in my re-imagining of what
money
is and what it means to my
life
. As a result of reading this book, I now have a very healthy money-outlook, and can easily make choices that would have been quite difficult before. I recommend this book to everyone, whether you have money or not!
Too much hype
This is a good book and I think it will be worthwhile to follow the steps that the author set out (I plan to do this), but some of his suggestions are just over-the-top (e.g. bargaining for everything, including
your groceries
or clothes, calling every store in your town to find the lowest price on whatever item you want to buy). To his credit, I don't think he expects everyone to follow every one of these tips, but just puts them out there as ways to save
money
. The basic lesson of this book is nothing earth shattering: stop spending and start saving. I really appreciated the context that he put this lesson into though: spending money equals spending
life energy
. When explained in that manner, one might hesitate to spend several hours of one's life on a trendy item of clothing that will only get worn twice! My one major complaint about this book is that it's hard to read all the way through and I got tired of hearing the author repeat over and over how the book would change your life. I suggest reading it in chunks as you put the plan into action, and gloss over the boring bits in favor of the actual lessons and the real-life examples.

Excellent book on how to be a good steward of your resources.
This book provides rational steps on how to wisely use
your resources
. It also may help those who are considering early retirement. Conserving resources helps preserve our Planet, but if everyone practices the philosophy of this book (an unlikely event) the economy could suffer. This is a book everyone should be familiar with, and it was fun to read.
very practical handbook to finance
I enjoyed this book as the authors not only gave some very excellent insight into the current 'middle class'
life
style, but also gave some really thorough data on how to do a 'hands on' handling of
your
own finances. Working out the true income level for your job is quite a new concept compared to other finance self help materials. Also, the historical data on the 'work week' was quite helpful. I enjoyed the humor as well as the emphasis on getting your own
financial 'house
' in order so that you can do what is really valuable for you with your life.

Great perspective on money!
This book takes time and effort to read and apply, but it is well worth it to gain a new perspective on
money
.
