Get it done in a week!

This was a great resource in cracking the CBEST test. I received it in the mail 9 days prior to taking the test. I put in about 1-2 hours a day using the guide so I would know what to expect. The test score just came back, and I passed with ease. Thanks to the Cracking the CBEST guide, I was able to prepare for the test by studying and reviewing what would be on the test and taking practice tests before the big day.

Although the math questions in the CBEST are written at an 8th grade level, understanding the way they are written is essential. This book presents the pitfalls to be avoided in the CBEST as well as helpful hints to solve questions which may contain unnecessary information. Comprehending the reading and writing sections is crucial for success. Plan the time to take the practice exams as these questions are very similar to the actual test questions.
A final hint: just before visiting the restrooms, read the essay questions so that you can think your way through them and not waste any precious time.

Perfect Preparation

This was an excellent guide for the CBEST. It completely prepared me for the test. There were no surprises. I would definitely recommend taking the 2 practice tests and planning out your strategies and time.

To get the most of your time and money while preparing for your cbest, this is the book you need to have!Its written in a clear language, concise,and gives in depth knowledge for what you are looking for.writing part, maths part and the reading part , you get a strategy to solve all the parts , its difficulty level is the same as the CBEST.. no need to lok for another books out there.But if you want more practice test then i would definely recommend the Cilffs, it has 4 practice tests.. so you get a picture where you stand.
