A WONDERFUL BOOK...for women of every race!

I was in a bookstore the other day, and asked the Lord..."to show me a good book to read." I was in the Christianity section...browsing along...and then I received the idea of going to the biography section. Stanice Anderson's book was laying on a table and I picked it up. Praise the Lord!!

Stanice Anderson's book is a manuscript, besides being a "good read" ...it is full of Truth. I had so much identification with her struggle with addiction, trusting in the Lord to provide and basic "woman" issues of trust and obedience. I,like Stanice, called out to the Lord in the throes of my addiction to drugs and alcohol. He answered my prayer, 16 years ago.

Her devotionals, prayers and scripture verses at the end of each chapter are "pearls from the Most High."

I would recommend this book to women of all colors. It is a book about redemption, regeneration and renewal of the human spirit through a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen!

A Delightful Read

This book was "delicious". I couldn't put it down. I believe anyone who reads this book will find themselves in it somewhere. It is amusing at times and heartbreaking at others but overwhelmingly it is a book of hope. Anderson's vivid description of events takes the reader to the particular place and time she is illuminating. The author also chose a unique format for the book which adds to the charm of this peice. I will be purchasing an additional copy of this book for a friend and look forward to the next title from this author!

I was deeply moved..

Stanice Anderson's words of testimony proves that God is waiting for us to call out to Him. Her powerful story of her life experiences combined with her willingness to share how God provided for her shows us how we can come to know Him. If you are looking for a book that shows how God can lift your burden of sin and addiction from you and restore your soul to the one who cares for you-this is it! Stanice knew that God was the only one that could help her. She tells how she relied on Him for her every need and waited for Him to lead her back to His Kingdom. If you need assurance and prayer, you will find the love & assurance that you need in this book. It is easy to understand and the life experiences are real..Thank you Stanice, for following God's direction in writing this book. God knows that it's possible to overcome addiction even when NO ONE else thinks you can be saved! God knows we all can be saved through Him!
Praise God for your wonderful testimony!

I Say A Prayer For Me is a must read!!!!!!!!!!

This book hit home. It so much reminded me of 2 of my sisters. It was sad, familiar, funny and hopeful. Stanice's delivery of the written word is unique. I love the chapter when she was talking about a boss' mother joining the staff, "Bending over me with her index finger about two inches from my face", and after Stanice's response, she "parked her neck in neutral". I howled!!!!!!! Stanice, you are an inspiration to sistahs everywhere. And I believe there are a few books coming from our family!!!!!!! We'll be joining you at the top!

A Tremendous Blessing!!!

Stanice Anderson has been a blessing to me from years ago, when I used to receive her emails, to today when I met her at my book club meeting/book signing [anothergoodidea.com book club].

She is genuine and down-to-earth, she loves God and will tell ALL He's done for her -- which is truly an encouragement and blessing to others. It may seem when you start that this book that it deals with her primarily with her heroin addiction, but as you continue you find yourself on these pages -- the relationships, family issues, life issues. And she shares how God has orchestrated and ordered her steps. She gives all praise to Him and also to the people He's put in her life as mentors and colleagues. She also lets you know that she hasn't "arrived," she's still walking in the steps daily as they're revealed -- which isn't easy.

I know first-hand that God can take what the "enemy" or life means as evil or ill toward you and turn it into His glory and a blessing for you -- this book is an brilliant example of that truth and how a life can be turned around. For the long-time Christian, the new believer, or the person just looking for inspirational reading, there is something here that can touch the heart of everyone.
