Above Average

This is a decent thriller. However, it drags in spots and when he goes through a stream of concious for several pages, it gets really convoluted. A clean straight forward thriller would have been better.

SHARP AND SAVY

I HAVE READ ALL OF THE JANE WHITFIELD BOOKS AND I FIND HER TO BE SHARP AND SAVY. SHE KNOWS WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND DOES IT. SO WHAT IF YOU KNOW SHE IS GOING TO BE VICTORIOUS IN THE END. SHE WORKS HARD FOR HER VICTORY AND I ANXIOUSLY AWAIT HER NEXT TIME OUT.

Excellent, excellent

One of my favorites of the series -- I must say the plot twisted and turned and I admit, took me at every step! Gorgeously constructed, as all his Jane series are...I am an avid mystery thriller reader and have read hundreds of authors...Thomas Perry and this series stands out as the best I've read. You have to read this book, you'll find it fascinating, I guarantee it.

A heroine for our times...

Jane Whitefield is one of the most compelling, complex characters I have had the privilege to read in a long time! Vanishing Act is my first Perry book, but definitely NOT my last! Kudos to Thomas Perry!
