THE MOST POWERFUL BOOK EVER

By far the most moving, meaningful read of my life. It is a beautiful, heart-wrenching testimony to the power of love (Laci, by all accounts, was pure love and light, and this shines through every page). She lives on, but my heart still breaks for Sharon and for all affected by such atrocities.

This book, unfortunately, is the best book Ive ever read.

I say "Unfortunately" because its such a shame that something so horrendous had to happen in order for it to be written. This is by far the most powerful book I've ever read. Sharon manages to take you into her life with Laci and then without Laci. You can feel the love for her daughter, the desperation of wanting and trying to get her back, the anger and hatred towards Scott and the frustration of not getting the whole truth of what happened to her daughter. Even though I knew the ending before I even read it, I found myself so full of hope while I was reading it, like maybe, just maybe her story would have a different ending than what the media had reported. The only thing that suprised me was the cruelness of the Petersons toward Laci's family. They should have been mad at Scott, but instead they were trying to make an already hard situation even harder. To that, I say, "Shame on THEM"
What I liked most about the book is the fact that Laci seemed to still live on even after her death, with the fireflies and ladybugs, and even Sharons dream. the little coincidences that would happen actually made my heart smile a bit, It was like she had so much of life left in her, that even death wasnt going to stop her from living.
My heart goes out to the Rocha family, and any other family who has ever suffered from such a loss.

A superb book! A MUST READ.

I was touched by the Laci story from the very beginning, when she was first announced missing. I finally had the chance to buy and read the book and it touched me just as much as expected, if not more. Be prepared to shed tears, many tears. You feel such sadness for this tragic loss. And at the same time, I admire her mother for having the strength to speak out and be a voice for Laci. The book is so captiving, I stayed up until 2am some nights reading page after page. I finished the book in less than one week. If this book doesn't move you, then I don't know what will.

WONDERFUL BOOK

I LOVED THIS BOOK ABOUT LACI. READING THIS BOOK WRITTEN BY HER MOTHER, MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS RIGHT THERE WITH HER AND I COULD FEEL HER EVERY EMOTION. I THINK EVERY MOTHER SHOULD READ THIS BOOK!

Forever in our Hearts.

I remember following the Laci Peterson missing person's case very closely, I distinctly remember hearing in my car that they had found two bodies washed upon the shore, and I knew that the search was over. I cried some serious tears that day because I had heard from Laci's own family how much of a wonderful person she was, and how much she wanted that baby and a monster took all that away from her, it didn't seem fair or logical. I remember saying out loud "why didn't you just divorce her Scott?" And now that I read this book, I know that Sharon said the same thing. Her words were "divorce is an option, murder is not" Having had problems in my own marriage, I seriously cannot understand or fathom Scotts thinking; maybe we aren't supposed to because he is beyond all normal mental reasoning. Sharon, in this book, has written a beautiful and bittersweet recollection of her daughter's life and death and legacy, she never got to meet her grandson Conner but a grandmothers love knows now earthly or heavenly bounds. The theme throughout, is one of complete disbelief that this was happening to her family and why it was happening, I don't think anyone will ever get the answer to that especially from Scott Peterson who to this day still claims he is innocent. For anyone who ever wanted to get beyond the headlines, beyond the tabloids, and really know who Laci was this is the ultimate guidebook into her extraordinary life, who else knows you best besides your mom? The lesson in all of it is to live your life to the fullest, never be afraid to laugh, and of course to "always keep smiling"
