Quick reading
Although this book is a quick read, it could have reached its point in less then half the time. If your in a hurry read the first several chapters, skip to the last several and get the solution. Would not have read it if it was not needed for a book report.
Easy Read - Good meeting philosophy
This book is an easy read. The fictional story is a good vehicle to get the messages across while keeping the reader's interest.
Lencioni's suggestion of no preset agenda for a weekly tactical is in contrast to many other management recommendations, but makes a lot of sense.
A good companion to another good book: "Overcoming Five Dysfunctions of a Team"

Great Read for Leaders
Lencioni gives a great story of bad
meeting
and a great ending. This book is for anyone who wants to develop a good style for meeting that are productive and meaningful.
Typical Leonci fable
Death
by
Meeting
is the typical Leonci offering - a somewhat contrived story followed by a short chapter of direct advice. I purchased the Audible version. The narrator was excellent in portraying the different characters and held my attention. Leonci offers some good thoughts on meetings, somewhat contrary to traditional literature on tight agendas. It was a quick and interesting listen.
Victim of its own Hypothisis
Of all Patrick Lencioni's
fable
s,
Death
by
Meeting falls
short of its morals. The Hook (setting the stakes) takes al
most half
the book before the action begins. There is little conflict (a recurring theme through his books) in this story.
The Five Dysfunctions of a Team is a powerful set of lessons wrapped in a compelling story (we get to know and care
about
the characters and their flaws and how some of them overcome those flaws, while others are consumed by them.)
The Five Temptations of a CEO is one man's journey on subconscious train trip without much conflict but its a very fast read.
If you're in a real hurry with any of these books, go to the summary in the back, you'll get all you need in a few short pages.
