Great Book

This is a wonderful book and I got it 2 days after I ordered it, just like they said. I can honestly say I was quite surprised. The book is very easy to read and is also quite interesting. Both my husband and brother have picked it up and read quite a bit...said they loved it and would like to eventually read the whole thing.

Very useful textbook

I am using this textbook in my Pharmacology class, which is part of my training to become a CDAC (Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor). I thought I knew a lot, but this is a fascinating survey of what is out there. Of course it is impossible to keep up with everything in the drug abuse world, but this is an excellent reference manual as well.

Important Book to Own

This book is an important book for anyone working with alcohol or drug abusers or addicts, or anyone wanting to gain accurate information about alcohol and substance use, abuse and the nature of addiction. It is very readable and includes the biological aspects and the history of alcohol and substance use and abuse. I had originally considered selling it back through Amazon after my class was over but have decided to keep this book for future reference.
