This nicely follows the series of which it is a part. It has the same charm and simple wisdom that is refreshing.

Simply fabulous!

What is so satisfying about this series is that it continues to be so good. The charming characters, pacing of the novel, and the details that capture the cultural subtleties keep me hooked. If you have not read any of the books in this series--start now--you will be glad you did!

Blue Shoes and Happiness is another great addition to the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series. This is a simple sweet story. Characters are not multi layered. My only complaint is that the book is over so quickly.

Consistently enjoyable

A delightful, fun read in the same vein as its predecessors. I like the lead character's outlook on life and common sense approach. The glimpse into Botswana culture is enjoyable as well. Can you get happiness from a pair of blue shoes? Sure.
