A must have for the begining inventor!

Get out of the dark and have light put on your own ability to make a patent. You have made the invention (that was the hard part) now go get it patented with this book!

Patent It Yourself

Excellent book! I understand patents much better..... now I really value the time my patent attorney is spending to create a solid patent!
The book gives you enough information to write your own patent, however, I'm choosing to have the attorney do it anyway.

Two Patents and more to come.

I've been issued two patents using Pressman's book. The patent office issued an office action on the first patent and I used an attorney to overcome the action. The second patent was issued on my first submission.
I am in the middle of prototyping a new product and cannot find my old copy of Patent It Yourself. My original copy was the 3rd or 4th addition so I will update to this newest edition.
If you are a technically inclined writer and use Pressman's step by step process doing it yourself is fairly easy.
But remember, getting a patent is easy, getting your product to market is the hard part.

Outstanding

The book is crammed with useful tips and details for the do-it-yourself patent applicant. The patent process details are explained in a light-hearted but clear way that makes the book as fun to read as you could ask, given the level of technical and legal detail provided. An essential and extremely helpful book if you're serious about patenting your own inventions.

Well thought out

This book is thorough, well organized and easy to follow. Every bit of information contained it the book is valuable - no fluff or filler. I wouldn't pursue the patent search/application process without it. This book was highly recommended to me by a universtiy business librarian and it didn't take long to see why. Anyone seeking to apply for a patent will gain valuable knowledge by reading this book. It is worth every penny.
