good vocab. flashcards

My wife hasn't take the exam yet but she thinks its a good r/v book

A good buy...

The format is very helpful--I found it much, much easier and more effective than either trying to learn words from a list, or making my own flashcards. One downside, though, is that there were some words that seemed too easy to be useful to most people taking the exam. They may have been able to trim out fifty or so words, or at least replaced them with more challenging ones. Overall, however, this is something I would recommend to anyone else I knew studying for the GRE.

It's ok

It has a good selection of words, but I don't feel confident I'm learning new words with flashcards. I'd like to have a better method.

Good but some words seemed too easy

Some words, such as "chaos" to me are too easy to be included in the "500 hardest GRE words" but overall I learned a good handful of words that WERE on the GRE. However, there are some typos and some repeats (a few words that listed synonmys listed some synonyms twice or listed the actual vocab word as a synonym for itself) which bothers me because it means that editing was hurried and badly done. However, I only studied the vocabulary from this book and I made a 600 on the verbal. Its just this book is so easy to study with, you can even make it a (dorky) game with your friends when bored. Who knows this one? And in playing some can help you remember it.
