Another Olympian Winner
I bought this as a gift to myself for getting some long procrastinated work done, and I loved it. Great action, good character development, and great humor. You don't have to know or even like Greek mythology to like this
book because
Percy
is such a great character that you enjoy the story regardless. If you know Greek mythology, you'll enjoy the intelligent way the myths are woven into modern life. This series is a MUST for the young person in your life and the young person in ALL of us!

mythology gone wild
The
titan
s
curse
is a great
book
for mythology lovers everywhere. In this book
Percy from
the earlier series and his friend Grover, the satyr, meet some new characters. Together they search for a monster that could be used todestroy Olympia. On their way they encounter flying statues, walking skeletons, and much more. The book keeps you reading by hiding facts from you. Rick Riodan also has a good way of combining mythology and the modern day. That is why I think you will love this book.

Fabulous Greek Mythology Study!
While I realize my home schooled 11 year old may be a rarity in the speed from which he reads. These
book
s by Rick Riordan have inspired within our son the keen interest in Greek Mythology and he will just be entering into 5th grade (by public school standards) this fall! Now this is the same kid who read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) in less than 3 days! While his interests are in fantasy these mythology books by Rick Riordan have ventured him out into a new realm of wanting to know all about Greek Mythology and have made my work harder as I now need to find teachings on the subject for the classroom. Obviously Rick Riordan knows how to entice our young readers into learning and for that he gets HIGH PRAISE from this teacher/mom! And he can't publish the books fast enough for our avid reader!
