In this book Eric Calhoune, tries desperatly to save his friend Sarah byrnes from her crazy father. This book takes many good twists and turnes to keep you reading. This is a great book and I reconmmend you read it.in the end Carver, Eric's moms boyfriend assualts virgil byrnes and there both arrested.
Staying Fat For Sarah Byrnes is a classic fiction novel about a girl in need of help and turns to her friends to find it.

I liked it

I like the book because it focused on main attacks that are happening in real life. People get attacked by other people and in their cat class they can talk about anything. I also like the ending.the way that some of the peple act is vey immature, but it moves the the story along. I think it was a very exciting the way Chris Chutcher put a real life sanorio in Staying Fat For Sarah Byrnes.

really good book

This book was really good because I think that it never really got boring. All of the things that happend i was alway wondering what was going to happen next. I just couldnt get enough of this book.I really did enjoy the book alot.It was really exciting and suspenseful and I really did like it very much.The book was mainly about friendship and other things. It is an a very exciting book and it keeps you on the edge of your seat.It isabout two very close friends that would do anything for eachother.One of the friends has had a very gbad past and is full of excithng drama.

THIS BOOK IS VERY GOOD

I think that this book is a little bit boring, but it has violence. The reason I like this book is that you can understand about poeple that get abused by someone like Eric's friend sarah.

A phenomenal piece of YA writing.

The story of Eric and Sarah Byrnes, two kids with the terminal uglies. Eric's fat and Sarah has terrible burns all over her face and hands (how she got them, you find out later in the story). They stick together. Then, Sarah stops talking, and ends up in a mental hospital, and Eric tries to find out why.

LOTS of sub-stories. Eric's feelings for his arch-enemy's girlfriend. His rivalry with Mark Brittain, class Holy Roller. Mrs. Lemry, the teacher of Contemporary American Thought. This book is a fine, fine piece of writing, very thought-provoking.
