Bow Wow Yipee-Oh Yipee-Aye!

Although this is part of the Dark-Hunter collection, the hero is not a Dark-Hunter but a Were-Hunter.
Falling in love was not part of the plan for Vane Kattalakis, falling in love with a human who knows nothing about his world even less so. But the heart's a fickle thing and Vane has to convince Bride McTierney to stay with him in less than 3 weeks or it's caput for his libido. Not only that but he's got his whole pack chasing after him for a crime he didn't commit. Bride knows nothing about this and is in total heaven with Vane- that is until Vane's mother kidnaps her and tries to brainwash her. But putting her heart on the line and realing it back in is something Bride is no stranger to. She's just got to toughen up to the realiation that her boyfriend's a dog-litteraly.

Best since Night Pleasures

I've been reading the Dark-Hunter series from the beginning and while I loved both Fantasy Lover and Night Pleasures, the last three full length stories were not as good. This book redeemed the series IMO.

First, we are back in New Orleans, which was missing from the last two stories, and we get to see some of the better reoccurring characters at length. Nick, Kyrian, Tabby, Julian, Amanda and Grace as well as Ash and the demon with ADHD, Simi, all had a roll in this book. We also get a snippet of Valirius not being a total stiff and his squire is a riot!

But the relationship between Bride and Vane was what made the story sing. Bride is about as average and unassuming as possible, while Vane is dark and tormented (like so many of the other heroes.) He cherishes her for the softness she brings into his life, while she gains confidence in herself by having a man love her unconditionally. There was a great balance between the ordinary and extraordinary happenings in this book and the characters are smart, witty and highly entertaining. Overall, a great read!

Loved it!

After reading the first book from Sherrilyn Kenyon, I purchased every book I could get my hands on. They hold a place of honor on my book shelf. Wonderful stories!

Please, either purchase from Amazon or look at your local library for this book. You will not regret it.

Wonderful Were-hunter

This is Vane and Bride's story.

The beginning went right into the action. Not a disappointing moment throughout the book. Maybe except Fang didn't play much of a part. He should've been.

I have to admit I was a little afraid of reading the were-hunter's book. But it surprised the heck outta me cuz this book has to be just as good or better than the dark-hunter books. It is a nice change of pace from the dark-hunters. I'm glad we get a look into the other side of their magical world. The side of the were-hunters.

An issue though: The guy displayed on the cover? I just can't picture the Vane she talks about and describes in the book as looking like the one on the cover. That totally ruins the book when you have to imagine a not-so-great stud muffin when the description of Vane is so much better.

I just got done with this one and I love it. This is one of my faves. The scene at Bride's house with the family is great. Vane is great. This book is great. Looking forward to Fang's book.
