Keep up the work, Zoey Dean!

This book is pretty good. I bought "Girls On Film" not too long ago. Can't wait for the 8th book!

Teen Novel

A spicy novel of a teen with an all-to-perfect record, who is determined to break out of her preppy-school-girl reputation, and make her trip to Beverly Hills, for an internship, one to remember. Anna Percy never dreamed that within her first several hours in Beverly Hills she'd hook up with a boy on an airplane, attend a celebrity wedding, and believe that she has met the guy of her dreams. While her run in with caddy girls, her pathetic father, and Hollywood drama puts a damper on her stay, Anna refuses to let them keep her from being the one thing she's always wanted; to be free.

Zoey Dean has mastered the portrayal of teenage life. The A-List is an easy read, but comical and very well relatable to high-school teens. Dean's portrayal of the social life in Beverly Hills is much like the one we see displayed on television programs, magazines, other novels, etc. Dean is anything but shy or nonchalant about exposing the lives of teens and the situations that take place. The issues of sex, drugs, money, family, drama, etc are all issues that Dean uses in her novel to pin-point her characters' personalities and relationships with other people, as well as their everyday lives. I enjoyed The A-List since I could imagine events in the novel happening to anyone of my friends or even myself. It's enjoyable to find a reader that knows how to directly connect with his or her's audience.

The A-List

Anna Percy was a beautiful girl, not only that, she was a bright one too. Because her parents were divorced, she lived with her mom in New York where Anna and her best friend Cynthia were boy crazy. Cynthia was the kind of girl who was outgoing and not afraid to take charge, while on the other hand, Anna only wished she could be like her. Cyn was dating a guy named Scott, the one that Anna was crushing. She decided she wanted to get away from it all, start over, and try to be a new person.
On her flight to LA, she meets Princeton stud, Ben Birnbaum. He seems like the perfect guy. After their encounter on the plane, Ben invites Anna to go to a Hollywood wedding for the famous actor, Jackson Sharpe. They run into the three girls who basically run her new high school, Beverly Hills High. If only Anna knew that one of them was Cammie Shepard, who had recently had a break up with Ben. Unfortunately Cammie wants him back, and will do anything to steal him from her.

The A-List novel, by Zoey Dean, is a great book. Especially if you are into reading about teenage romance and the drama that goes on in it. I really liked it and enjoyed reading it because the author made me feel like I had a part in the story and was just one of the girls included in all of it. The suspense made it much better with not knowing was was going to happen next.

REAd iT!!!

This book is outstandingly great. Girls at school started reading it and i thought man another book about stupid bitches. But then i read it and i changed my mind. it is a book if deepness and indiviguality! If you love realistic fiction that takes place in modern day time...you will love the A-list by Zoey Dean
