a definite must read

I always enjoy when characters you have met in one story(Indigo) are so intriguing, they deserve their own (in this case Raimond Le Veq ). As usual BJ did not disappoint. A well written story with the usual steamy romance is what you will find in the story of Raimond and Sable. I was especially delighted with Sable's history as a descendant of Queens and a Queen herself. And I thought that it brought a certain closure, that after previous Queens coming to tragic ends (Sable's mother and grandmother), that she could find happiness. Additonally, it was nice to see Raimond put through his paces(especially after teasing Galen so much in Indigo)

great historical romance.........

As usual, Ms. Jenkins has done her homework and presented an exciting historical romance with "positive" and uplifting images of African Americans. I always feel more amourous after reading her books. The men portrayed in her books allow you to fantasize to the utmost... Simply MAGNIFICANT!

I have never read romance the wat Beverly Jenkins writes it. Through the Storm, as well as her other books was simply, MAGNIFICANT! I just wish that I could have lived in an era where there was this type of romance.! Splendid!

An intriguing, stimulating, educational tour of romance.

Beverly Jenkins combines romance with our African American history in a way that captivates your heart while re-educating you at the same time. It's so easy to visualize the characters and walk with them through this intriguing story. I look forward to reading Topaz, which is in my library now.

Applauding Romance!!!!!!!!!!

This is the first time I've ever read one of Beverly Jenkins stories and I'm hooked! Through the Storm was beautiful!! I'm a senior in high school and all of my friends and co-workers literally have to shut me up from talking about it. I was really impressed! There should be more Sable and Raimond relationships today. This story has motivated me to continue writing. Keep up the excellent work!!
