One of her best love stories

I have read about half of Nora Roberts' books (I'm working my way through all of them) and this is by far my favorite. I almost didn't read the series because of the vampire angle, but I'm so glad I did. The first two books in the series focused more on the battle and the romances were almost secondary. I enjoyed the first two books, but I was entranced by Valley of Silence. I was dying to find out if and how Cian and Moira stayed together.
I love the McCades and the McGregors, but Cian is by far my favorite hero.

Loved the trilogy!

The trilogy was a unique series of love stories. Vampires - very entertaining, a good simple read. Roberts has a way with words.

Valley of Silence

It took longer than usual for this series to grab me, but it is well worth the effort! This is a wonderfully enthralling trip to an alternate universe with great visual imagery, engaging characters, smart dialogue which demonstrate, yet again Ms Roberts great talent. Do not be put off by a change in the fabric & weave of her work! Definately worth your time.

Terrific!

The final battle to seal whether humanity will live in the light or cower in darkness as prey for Lilith's vampires is fast approaching, and the six warriors of the Circle fill their days preparing themselves for it in Gaell. In the past two books, Glenna and Hoyt and Larkin and Blair have discovered true love, so it is no surprise that the little queen, Moira, and the vampire, Cian, wake to the love they have for each other in this one. However, the obstacles between them are greater than those facing the other two couples. She is a Queen, bound to her world, and he is a vampire from this one. Moreover, Lilith does not intend to let any of them live beyond Samhain. Not all the battles they face are on the fields of blood, there are conflicts that must be settled in the heart as well.

***** The only thing I hate about this book is that it is the end of the series! Cian is one of the most complex, multi-facted characters I've come across in a long time. His sarcastic wit made me laugh often, yet he also evoked tears in my soul. Moira makes a speech that will bring to mind thoughts of Aragorn and Lord of the Rings, making you want to cheer. Normally, I do not like epic battle scenes at all, but the ones depicted herein were so deftly handled that I could follow the action without being bogged down. Though the Eve Dallas series is my first love among Nora Roberts' books; under her own name, the Circle series, particularly this final volume, is her finest writing to date. *****
