GIVE ME MORE!!!
I won't go into all of the details, because, as you can see, it has been done (over and over again). However, I had to write and state that "
Sleeping with
Strangers
" is AWESOME!!! It is powerful from the very beginning, and the love (scratch), romance (scratch), well lets just call them sex scenes were WHEW (something to be appreciated)! There's suspense, sadness, emotion, anger, hate, uncertainty, and so much more.
I listened to the unabridged audio version of this book, and even though I think Dickey is "The Man" when it comes to novels, I must say that his success with the audio version of this book should be shared with Dion Graham (the narrator) due to his EXCELLENT reading and acting skills. Graham's passion (and extremely sexy voice) takes "Sleeping with Strangers" to its highest level. I have listened to other books written by Dickey and narrated by Graham and I have always enjoyed the combination. I look forward to future collaborations between the two. I personally believe that Dickey should incorporate Graham's talents into all of his books that have male leads.
So, if you haven't read it, read it!
If you've read it, but haven't listened to it, listen to it!
Enough said, ready for "Waking with Enemies".

Couldn't put it down!
I stopped reading EJD books a couple of years ago, but friends kept talking about this book so I decided to read it and give EJD another chance. I'm so glad I did...I could not stop reading this book! I couldn't believe I was rooting for Gideon to live after all the things he had done. I'm so glad I waited to read this one unitl the sequel was released. I am once again a fan of EJD!

Something different from Eric Jerome Dickey
SLEEPING
WITH
STRANGERS
by Eric Jerome Dickey
August 12, 2007
Amazon Rating: 4/5 stars
Earlier this year, I read Eric Jerome Dickey's latest novel SLEEPING WITH STRANGERS. This novel is different from his usual fare, because this time it takes place in London. The main character is a contract killer and gets involved with two women as he journeys from the United States to Great Britain. The book is fast paced and is probably one of his raunchiest books yet.
I won't put this on my list of favorite Eric Jerome Dickey books, but I think for fans this is a must read. What I find interesting is how Dickey continues to evolve as a writer, and when I had him pegged, he turns around and publishes something completely different.
Readers should note that the sequel to SLEEPING WITH STRANGERS should be out any day now, titled WAKING WITH ENEMIES. This is a first for Eric Jerome Dickey, to have two books out in the same year.

Gideon
Over the years, I've read all of EJd's novels and this one has inched it's way up near the top. His writing has evolved so much over the years for the better. He's run the gamut of characters and I have to say that by far Gideon is one of if not the best character he's ever written. This book has more suspense than I knew what to do with. And yet it was erotic enough to keep you entertained. In my opinion, it is a cross between a Teri Woods and Zane novel, but better. Niot at all over the top and he leaves us with a beautiful cliff hanger to be answered in the sequel.
His writing style is so unlike any other author around. Straight to the point with little room for perseflage. The dialogue between the characters is so real along with their actions. The narration leaves you feeling like your sitting there interviewing Gideon himself. And if that's not enough, Mr. Dickey's acknowledgment are hilarious. Kudos

A page Turner...
EJD has created a character that is ruthless, fearless, yet compassionate and patient. Gideon is intriguing and insights into his past life help to shape his character and the plot. I'll admit it I rooted for Giedeon from the beginning, even though his line of work was, should I say, not "professional" by any means! I ordered the the sequel at the same time as this book so did not have to wait months for the climatic ending.
The manner in which EJD presents the story line left me wanting more, even tempting me to peek on the next page to see what would happen next. The usage of short statements and discriptive narration provides a visual picture into every aspect of the story. As a native Londoner I could see all the areas EJD so artfully described. Totally different from the norm of his writings...so make no comparisons...If you are looking for love, "normal" relationships, happy endings, this is not the forum. It is a must read web of twists and turns that leaves you breathless no matter what is unfolding between the characters. I must say this was one of the best non-fiction books I have read in quite some time.
