Survive: Or Not?

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH is an adventurous, suspenseful book. Mrs. Frisby has four children. Timothy, one of the children, gets sick and has to stay in bed. Meanwhile, Moving Day is coming up and Timothy can't move. What are they going to do? Are they going to move or stay put and die? This book is an awesome book and a surprise awaits on every page. I rate this book five stars, because it's a great book and I think lots of people will like it once they read it.

The Rats of NIMH

I just recently read Mrs.Frisby and the Rats of NIMH and I thought this book was okay. I thought it would be better and more excitment but it was still very good. If you enjoy fiction you will like this book. My favorite character is Jeremy the crow. Some parts are excellent but by then end all loose ends are not completely tied up. This book was a classic and it still is. Read this book see how you feel.

A pretty good book

I thought Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh was a great book. It was exciting and creative, but I felt it lacked action. I admit it was very exciting at parts, but some were very boring. I really like the plot of this story, and it is kind of sad at the end of the story. Also, you couldn't wait to find out w;hat happens at parts. So, that is why I gave this children's book a 4/5.

A wonderful, heart-warming book

Mrs. Frisby, a kind-hearted widow, wiht four children, has a problem. Her youngest son, Timothy has pneomonia. Another probelm she faces is the fact that Moving Day is approaching and Timothy is too weak to take on the journey. As the days go by, Mrs. Frisby meets a young, curious crow, an old, wise, owl, and an extremely intellegant species of rats hoping to find advice and help to her problems. WIll she succeed? Well, that is the question that is constantly asked in this book...
I have really enjoyed reading Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. It is a very heart-warming story that includes strong friendships, families, and hearts.

I rate this book 4 and a half stars.

Mrs. Frisby's Fantastic by Gaby

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh, by Robert C. O'Brien, was a heartwarming fantasy story. Mrs. Frisby, a young widowed mouse, has four children, who are having a hard time recovering from the loss of their father. The youngest son, Timothy, is a bit of a weakling, and falls ill with pneumonia just before spring comes. This is bad timing because the farmer, Mr. Fitzgibbon, plows the vegetable field, which is where they live. Dr. Ages tells her that Timothy cannot be exposed to cool air or will face a second pneumonia. Trying to find help, she encounters a wise owl, who tells her to seek help from the rats. She wonders how they would help, but meets them anyway.

These are a highly intelligent breed of rats that became lab rats in their early life. They were injected to see if they got any older or smarter. Instead, they grew up to be geniuses, who knew how to read and memorize things. Eventually, the rats escaped and made their own civilization, that included Mrs. Frisby's husband, Jonathon.

The rats came up with a plan to dig her cinderblock, (home), out of the ground, and moving it to safety. Although later, Mrs. Frisby discovers that the rats are moving to Thorn Valley, where they will be well away from humans, and can resist stealing what they need to survive. However, getting the cinderblock moved is difficult, because of the Fitzgibbon's cat, Dragon. Mrs. Frisby goes through many ups and downs with the move, and seems to get through all of them, until Mrs. Frisby and the rats come to a huge obstacle; one they might not win.

I could barely put this book down, and you HAVE to read it to find out what happens to Mrs. Frisby and the rats. This story is very suspenseful, and I highly recommend it to fantasy readers.
