It jump starts your way of thinking to a higher level

This book was great for me, because it confirmed a lot of thoughts that I had and it encouraged me, because I just did a message that had some ideas of what was in this book. So when I got this book, I was excited. It made my thoughts more clearer about the normal Christian life, desires, and renewing my mind. It's an excellent book to jump start your way of thinking to a higher level in God.

This is an excellent book, although I do recommend reading his first book "When Heaven Invades Earth" before reading this, it'll help with the foundation of what the writer is trying to get across...

Response to irresponsibility

This comment is not in direct response to this book, but a plea for reviewers to be a bit more responsible with their words. A previous reviewer ("FALSE WORD OF FAITH THEOLOGY") mentioned John Piper's name to support his claim that healing is not for today.
On the contrary, John Piper has said "I am one of those Baptist General Conference people who believes that "signs and wonders" and all the spiritual gifts of 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 are valid for today and should be "earnestly desired" (1 Corinthians 14:1) for the edification of the church and the spread of the gospel. I agree with the words of Martyn Lloyd-Jones, preached in 1965:

It is perfectly clear that in New Testament times, the gospel was authenticated in this way by signs, wonders and miracles of various characters and descriptions. . . . Was it only meant to be true of the early church? . . . The Scriptures never anywhere say that these things were only temporary - never! There is no such statement anywhere. (The Sovereign Spirit, pp. 31-32)
He also said "gifts of healings were intended for the church in Paul's day and in our day".

Challenging

This book is a real challenge to all Christians. Truly we are called to be more than just those who wait for the Lord's return. If we will rise to Mr. Johnson's call we will see our world change in our lifetime.

Another rare gem.

This book starts out where Bill's last book, "When Heaven Invades Earth", leaves you last. This book is an easy read. One of the rare things that Bill Johnson does in his books is point you to Jesus and leave you with Him. His accounts of miracles are astounding yet believable. His theology and biblical revelation are sound.

This book makes you want to press into God's presence and expect more. If that isn't your desire in a Christian book, I don't know what you'd be looking for.

I eagerly await another book by Mr. Johnson!
