Gotta get it, gotta read it, gotta live it!!!

This is an incredibly wonderful, encouraging, challenging and well worth reading book!

A woman living her life like this book espouses will grow peace, happiness, contentment and satisfaction in her life-what woman doesn't want that? Yes, if this type of lifestyle is different than what one is living, it might take some effort and energy to give it a whirl, but hey, for a lot of women, how they are living isn't producing the joy and happiness they are looking for. Might as well give this a try!

Reaching for Higher Ground

Have you lost your deep passion for God? Sure, you still believe in Him, and you'd never deny your faith in Him. But has your passionate, "panting as the deer does for water" desperation for God and His Word diminished in your life? Let's set aside the temporal, worldly things that preoccupy and we try to stuff into our lives to "fill up" and run to the One who alone can satisfy! Reading this book will encourage you to "follow hard after God".

I appreciate books with encouragement as to how I can draw closer to God, be a better wife and mother, and shine as a light in this world. While any single book, aside from the Bible, cannot meet every need, "Passionate Housewives" attempts to cover as much as it can. If we seek to be found in Christ, not in the world, we reach HIGHER, not lower. If you are a mother or wife, if you are a woman in any station of life, you will find something in this book that will apply to you.

Great Read

"Passionate Housewives" is an uplifting book full of witty anecdotes, timeless truths, and applicable advice. Though the reader might not agree with everything Mrs. Chancey and Mrs. McDonald believe as far as certain lifestyle choices and church structure, she (or he) will be hard-pressed to find doctrinal fallacies or religious heresies. Anyone who is seriously searching for a refreshing take on being a better mother, wife, and daughter of God will find innumerable nuggets of wisdom in its pages. Highly recommended.

Great help

This book is wonderful. I am a new wife, and soon to be mother. In a world where other women who should be helping us and mentoring us younger women, but instead are trying to take us away from our home and children. I find this book to be most helpful! I have found that it is an encouragement. Staying at home and taking of care of your family should not be put down like it is in our world today. Women like Stacy McDonald, and Jennie Chancey have a heart to be the "Older Women" Put forth in God's word in Titus chapter 2 verses 3&4
" 3 the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things-- 4 that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed."

This book is a blessing, and if you are seeking to be a homemaker, a stay at home mother, or simply want to follow God's will for your life as a women. I think you should read this book! Sincerely, Mrs Creath.
