Fantastic workout

If you were committed to a moderately strenous fitness routine pre-pregnancy, then this is a great workout for late in your 2nd trimester and throughout your third trimester (before that you can probably maintain nearly the same routine you were doing pre-pregnancy). I bought it when I was pregnant with my first baby and am now using it again during my second pregnancy. During my first and mid-way through my 2nd trimester I ran for 45 mintues to an hour and 10 minutes 6 days per week and lifted weights 3 days per week and did this workout on my off lifting days. Now that I am in my 3rd trimester (30 weeks) I run 45 minutes 6 days/week, lift 2 days a week and do this 1 -2 days per week and find it to be a great addition to my exercise routine. I don't think it is challenging enough (or has enough cardio work) to be used as an exclusive means of exercise, but I do think it is a great compliment or substitution for other toning means. I have tried SEVERAL prenatal exercise videos and this is the ONLY one I would even consider reccomending.

Great Workout

Great workout. Not too easy, not too hard, just right. I felt good after I finished the video and I felt great the next day.

Was skeptical but took a chance and I'm glad I did.

I am one who reads reviews EXTENSIVELY which can be good and bad because I feel you should go by your gut. I work out occasionally by walking and I use to about 3 - 4 times a week before I got pregnant. I am now 20 weeks and I started this DVD last week. It WILL take some time to get used to if you haven't worked in a while BUT the results are well worth it. I wanted to concentrate on my lower part of my body and a few areas up top (arms and tummy) I STAY on the beginners' level and I'm sure like all workouts, once you get used to it, you can up your level. The GOOD thing about this DVD is that she explains everything in DEEP detail and her voice is not irritating. She also allows you to do kegel exercises in between reps. Just take your time, no rush and then when you feel comfortable go for it. The one exercise that kept me in AWE was her "keep up exercise" I was like...OMG...BUT this is a GREAT exercise for mental purposes for your labor. I look forward to continuing this DVD and appreciating the after effects of the weight not being so hard to come off after birth.

Feel Good Followin this video

This dvd was great! I bought it and a pilates video. I like both, but I truly feel like I am getting a workout with this video (though not overdoing it). Prior to starting there is an instructional section that discusses things to consider during pregnancy. I really thought that was beneficial since I knew little about the "rules" of exercise during pregnancy.
