Good BUT Pointless

Criss Cross by Lynne Rae Perkins is the story of kids who travel down different paths in life while growing up. Debbie wishes something would happen. Hector tries new things. Lenny, Phil, and Patty kind of feel the same. It talks about people coming and going, crushes and such between the younger crowd. Some parts are boring. Others are confusing. Some parts are interesting and you'll want to know what happens next. But the book just keeps going on about these friends - which is pointless. I recommend reading it, however.

Like Everyday Life

Criss Cross is not one of those original adventurous books you find in a group of books. It doesn't have suspense which keeps you turning the page. It doesn't have hard to happen, mythical events which lures your imagination away. It just talks about how a normal teenage life is. This book is written in a confusing way, but when you get the hang of it, you'll understand it more. The first time I was about halfway through the book, I gave up reading it. But later I re-read it, and found the writing style beautiful and smooth. Criss Cross features characters who share the same problems like normal teens now. It has the thoughts that teens have also thought of. As a teen reader myself, I found this book relaxing to read. It doesn't build my love for it so high that I have to finish it in one night. It just gives me another good thing to look forward the next day. As how it is relaxing is that, I felt good reading a book like this after reading all the adventure books in the library. It gave me a feeling that it's normal to have those thoughts and face some normal problems most people went through.I would suggest you found down your highly addictive flowing style book down and try something new, and out of originality.

Criss Cross

Criss Cross by Lenna Rae Perkins is a Newbery Award winnig book. i think that I really liked this book because it had a lot to do with friends and since i'm a social person then it was the right book for me. I rated this book a our because it had very good details as i was expexting from the author. i would recommened that you read this book if you're really patient with waiting on for the climax of the story to happen. it ahs a lot of great personalities mixed in with the characters. i thik that they all formed together to make the book really interesting. my favorite character of the book would have to be Jenny. Ithink that she was the best character out of all of the characters in the book. so if you have the patience to read a book and you're not worried about getting to the end, then i think that you'll have good time with it. Criss Cross, an Excelent book

This is a very good book that I definitely would recommend for you to read. It is about five teenager's every day life, but it is very good. I especially enjoyed it because it didn't have any excessive killing or dying in it, which I find is a main theme in many juvenile fiction books about children's life. This book was so good that I read it all in one day. I think that it was very good, and not at all boring. Enjoy!
