For the self-questioning worker
The marketers are having a field day with contemporary society. Don't be taken in by them or the hollow rewards of a
life spent
in a cubicle. This book should inspire you to find a less conventional path that is far more rewarding. If you find
yourself searching
for some answers to your daily grind, this book is a great beginning. A must read for the disenchanted worker.
Great book, use it with other great reads for a well-rounded education
Like many other reviewers, I agree this is a GREAT book. It will help you get a grasp on
your
finances... but it is rather dogmatic. I am not one who belives one should stop chewing gum to save
money
, but it is good to see where you spend money and ask yourself if that expendature is worth the time it took to make the money.
I really liked the ideas presented, although many of the voluntary simplicity followers I've met seem a bit extreme. I would suggest using this book in conjunction with The Richest Man in Babylon to build wealth in addition to saving your pennies.

Life Saver
This book has literally saved my
life
. When I picked it up I was $80,000 in debt. I was in a dead-end job with poor prospects for it getting any better. I was morbidly depressed and could not see a reason for going forward. I am not out of debt yet but have taken great steps to pay off what I owe. I have cut up all but one emergency credit card and I am living on much less than before. I actually have some
money
put back for the proverbal "rainy day". I haven't left my job yet but have a reason for continuing in this high-paid hell. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Great stuff if you can get past the liberal slant...
I thought this book was great, with the exception of the liberal slant and new-agey stuff. If you can ignore that, you will find good information.
