Could not put this book down! Not just for pre-teens...

I could not put this book down. I saw the author on TV and heard people raving about it on the radio but, I must say I was spectacle. I bought Twilight and in 1 day was almost done so, I ordered the second book so I wouldn't have to stop reading this story!!! The writing in this book is great! Characters are interesting and the story is awesome! Can't wait to see how the movie turns out!

Fun, light reading

If you're looking for a deep thought-provoking book, this is NOT the book for you. This book is a fun read. I would call it a "guilty pleasure" that I won't brag about reading. I wouldn't allow anyone under 15 to read it since, like other people commented, I don't think the female heroine Bella is a positive role model.

Great series until you get to book 3!

Parts 1 and 2 to this series were very addicting and I finished both in 4 days. However,once I got to book 3, I started becoming very annoyed with Bella. It gets a little old hearing how much Edward adores her and would "protect" her. Please. And she thinks she's so cool. I really like Jacob and I hope she ends up with him and not Edward. I did like both Bella and Edward a lot until I reached Book 3. I suppose they just started getting on my nerves after awhile. I'm sick of them both. Regardless, the series is still entertaining and even though I find myself rolling my eyes every now and then, I would recommend this series to anyone. I am halfway through with Book 3 now and look forward to Breaking Dawn. :-)

Addicting!

Didn't expect to like this book really, but got it anyways because of all the hype I'd heard about it.

I've now read the entire series twice and just love these books!! I'm a stay at home mom of two so I'm not the typical target group for this book but I've even got my mother hooked on them as well.

Kuddos to Stephanie Myers for her original view on the vampire world!! I do hope she decides to finish and publish "The Midnight Sun"
