Anxiously awaiting the sequel!!!!!

I must say this has been one of the best if not the best book I have ever read. This book is a must read! From begining to end you will not be disappointed to say the least. If you like fast paced, action packed, and a lust for love , or is it? Gideon is a hit man into a little of everything. Money, sex, love? He takes no prisoners, and killing is just a part of survial. What makes him so evil? Could it be his childhood, or the woman he lusts for. Maybe its just the money? But all is not fair in love and murder. Is it possible to take out a hit on the hitman? Who dares to be the one? Friend, foe, mother, lover? Stay tuned.......

Couldn't put it down!

I stopped reading EJD books a couple of years ago, but friends kept talking about this book so I decided to read it and give EJD another chance. I'm so glad I did...I could not stop reading this book! I couldn't believe I was rooting for Gideon to live after all the things he had done. I'm so glad I waited to read this one unitl the sequel was released. I am once again a fan of EJD!

Dickey flipped the script

Dickey flipped the script on this one. Not so like Denzell did with Training Day, but Dickey showed us something new. I did not think I would like it at first so I got 1/3 through and put it down for a month. Then I thought about how he has never let us down so I decided to pick it up again. I am so glld I decided to pick it up again and now I can wait to get Waking with Enemies. Good read!

(4.5 stars) Who's After You?

Gideon is a contract killer that just finished a huge high-profile job in Florida that earned him a lot of enemies. This job will make him a millionaire and that much closer to getting the one woman who he desires: Arizona. She promised Gideon that she would run away with him if he could earn a million dollars. Will she keep this promise? With this at the back of his mind, Gideon hops on a plane to London to hopefully escape the fallout from this last job. On the plane, he meets Lola and Mrs. Jones, two very different and mysterious women. Lola is a struggling actress who's meeting her boyfriend in London, and Mrs. Jones is running away from a dead marriage. But are these women all that they appear to be? When Gideon finds out that a hit has been put out on him, he has to decide if these women can really be trusted. Are they just innocent passengers who have crossed paths with Gideon or were they sent to do him in?

Sleeping With Strangers is a riveting novel by Eric Jerome Dickey. Dickey skillfully dives readers in head first into the dangerous life of a contract killer. Although Gideon has a very unsavory profession, you will find yourself rooting for him when he tries to find out who is after him. Dickey did an excellent job of making Gideon a likeable, multi-dimensional character. On the surface, he's a professional killer that gets the job done but he also craves for love and the regular life of a square. Gideon also has some childhood demons that he needs to come to terms with. One of the many things that make this novel stand out is how the storyline takes place almost entirely abroad. You'll feel as if you're getting a personally guided tour of London and Amsterdam. You can picture the sights and sounds of both of these interesting locales. This book wouldn't be complete without some movie-like, heart-stopping action and an equally exciting cliffhanger. Sleeping With Strangers is filled with action, raw emotion and intrigue that will make you immediately go out and get the sequel Waking With Enemies.

GIVE ME MORE!!!

I won't go into all of the details, because, as you can see, it has been done (over and over again). However, I had to write and state that "Sleeping with Strangers" is AWESOME!!! It is powerful from the very beginning, and the love (scratch), romance (scratch), well lets just call them sex scenes were WHEW (something to be appreciated)! There's suspense, sadness, emotion, anger, hate, uncertainty, and so much more.

I listened to the unabridged audio version of this book, and even though I think Dickey is "The Man" when it comes to novels, I must say that his success with the audio version of this book should be shared with Dion Graham (the narrator) due to his EXCELLENT reading and acting skills. Graham's passion (and extremely sexy voice) takes "Sleeping with Strangers" to its highest level. I have listened to other books written by Dickey and narrated by Graham and I have always enjoyed the combination. I look forward to future collaborations between the two. I personally believe that Dickey should incorporate Graham's talents into all of his books that have male leads.

So, if you haven't read it, read it!

If you've read it, but haven't listened to it, listen to it!

Enough said, ready for "Waking with Enemies".
